COVID-19 Guidelines and Protocol

Posted: March 15, 2020 in: Uncategorized

At Country Animal Hospital, the health of our clients and clinic staff members is a top priority. As everyone is doing their part in limiting the spread of COVID-19, we would like to make sure that everyone is following the established guidelines:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water prior to visiting our hospital.
  • Use provided hand sanitizer upon arriving and leaving.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Cover your mouth and nose if you cough or sneeze, using a tissue or the inside of your elbow.
  • Keep a safe social distance (6 feet) between yourself and others when possible.
  • Avoid shaking hands.

It is critically important that if you are feeling ill (i.e. have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath) please contact us prior to coming in to discuss your appointment or emergency visit. If we can’t manage your pet’s well being over the phone, we may ask you to find someone else to bring your pet to our hospital to receive care.

Currently, there is no evidence that pets can become sick from COVID-19. Infectious disease experts indicate there is no evidence to suggest that pet dogs or cats can be a source of infection including spreading COVID-19 to people.
