COVID-19 protocol at CAH
We are now almost 5 months into this pandemic, and while we are all feeling very fortunate to live where we do with a relatively low incidence of COVID-19, we need to stay vigilant about the measures to keep us all as safe and healthy as possible! As a reminder, CAH’s current protocol is as follows:
1) Please call when you arrive in our parking lot (802-234-5999). We will check you in over the phone, and then will bring you directly into an exam room as soon as possible.
2) Only one client is allowed per appointment to enter our clinic.
3) Clients and staff are required to wear a mask at all times in the clinic. Please keep the mask covering both your nose and mouth.
4) We need to maintain social distancing of 6 feet at all times. We have marked an area with yellow tape in each exam room that is 6 feet away from where the Doctor will examine your pet. We respectfully ask you to stay seated during the entire appointment to protect our staff.
5) At the end of your appointment we will complete your check out process in the exam room to minimize people in the lobby.
6) We will continue to offer curbside service if you are unable to wear a mask, or have others with you who are unable to be left alone outside.
7) If your pet is ill, we will be encouraging you to consider dropping off your pet to allow more time for a complete work-up and treatment rather than waiting for an extended time in an exam room.
8) We will allow 1 client in the “shopping areas” on either side of the waiting room at a time. We encourage people not to linger too long to allow others a chance to choose what they need as well as minimize exposure time to our front staff.
9) For end of life care, for more than 1 person to be present, we will encourage this to occur outside to allow a longer time together to grieve.
These have been challenging and unprecedented times. Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we strive to continue to offer the same excellent level of care and compassion to you and your fur babies that you have come to expect from Country Animal Hospital.
